Nine new COVID cases at schools in Barrie and Alliston have been reported by local school boards since Friday.
One classroom has been closed as a result of two new cases at St. Joseph's Catholic High School in Barrie. The health unit has not yet reported whether the school has been declared in outbreak at this time.
Two classrooms have been closed as a result of two cases at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School in south-end Barrie.
Two new cases have also been reported at Warnica Elementary School in Barrie. This adds to one case previously reported on Nov. 16 where one classroom was closed. The health unit has not yet reported whether the school has been declared in outbreak at this time.
Another case has been reported at Willow Landing Elementary School in Barrie, adding to a case already reported on Nov. 20. No classrooms have been closed as a result of these cases.
Two cases have been reported at Holy Family Catholic School in Alliston. Two classrooms have been closed as a result of these cases.
The schools all remain open.
The school boards and the health unit have not reported whether the individuals are students or staff members.
