Barrie firefighters were called to a car fire on Arthur Avenue in the city's east end on Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m.
A silver Mitsubishi sedan sustained significant damage in the blaze.
Barrie Fire and Emergency Services put the fire out before it could cause damage to the home.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
Simcoe County paramedics treated a man at the scene, but there were no serious injuries.
