Four people have been arrested in relation to a carjacking involving a limousine in Springwater Township on Saturday.
At about 2:30 a.m. on May 4, police were contacted by the limo driver, who was en route to a destination and claimed to have been assaulted before the four clients stole the vehicle, leaving the victim on George Johnston Road, Huronia West OPP said in a news release.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Shortly before 5 a.m., the limo was located on Sunnidale Concession 6 in Clearview Township and the suspects were arrested.
James Jao, 21, of Milton, and three youths have been charged with assault with a weapon, robbery with violence, theft of a motor vehicle, administering a noxious substance, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The three youths were released from custody on an undertaking. Jao was held for a bail hearing. All four accused are set to appear in court in Collingwood at a later date.
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
