The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated 'Roaring Social' YMCA Gala, set to take place on Nov. 1 at 6 p.m., at the stunning Blue Mountain Resort near Collingwood.

This 18-plus event promises an unforgettable evening filled with live music, dazzling entertainment, and the electric atmosphere of a speakeasy-inspired night.

Step back in time to the roaring twenties and indulge in the glitz and glamour that defined an era. The Roaring Social YMCA Gala will feature an array of entertainment, headlined by the renowned comedian Gerry Dee.

Known for his sharp wit and unforgettable performances, Gerry Dee is a Canadian actor, stand-up comedian, game show host, director, producer, and writer. You may know him as the host of Family Feud Canada or from his hit sitcom, Mr. D. Serving as the night's host is the charismatic Adam Growe, an incredible comedian with a resume that includes Just for Laughs, Comedy NOW!, and Cash Cab, ensuring the fun never stops.

While the evening promises entertainment and enjoyment, it's also about making a significant impact in the community. Proceeds from the Gala will go toward supporting the YMCA’s vision to create vibrant communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging, while fostering physical, mental, and social well-being for all.

"The Roaring Social YMCA Gala is more than just a celebration; it is an opportunity for us to come together to raise necessary funds that make YMCA programs and services accessible to all," said Jill Tettmann, president and CEO of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. "Your participation and generosity will directly impact individuals in our community who need it most, providing them with opportunities to overcome obstacles and thrive."

In addition to live comedic entertainment, attendees can look forward to a silent auction featuring exciting experience packages such as tickets to the Daytona 500, a stay at Fairmont Chateau Whistler, and more. Live music will be from The Empties, an up-and-coming Toronto-based band.
