Barrie GO Line experiencing commute delays due to fatal incident (update)

GO Transit urging Barrie line customers, if possible, to head to stations on the Richmond Hill or Stouffville line to get to downtown Toronto

Update (9:09 a.m.): GO Transit says fatality investigation, north of East Gwillimbury GO station, is complete. The tracks have been cleared and have reopened. Regularly scheduled service is returning with some "residual delays." Click here for service updates.

Customers on the Barrie GO line will experience longer than normal commute times this morning due to a fatal incident north of East Gwillimbury Bradford GO station.

Trains cannot move through the area until the police investigation is complete.

Our teams are working to get service back to normal on the Barrie line, but it could take most of the morning.

At this time, we are urging Barrie line customers, if possible, to head to stations on the Richmond Hill or Stouffville line to get downtown.

Customers at Allandale, Barrie South, Bradford, East Gwillimbury and Newmarket GO stations can proceed to the bus loop for service.
