On Tuesday, January 19, 2015 at 11 p.m. a single male was spotted checking unlocked cars in the Anne Street, Adelaide Street and Glenridge Road area in the City of Barrie. 

He was arrested a short time later with a bag full of property [he is alleged to have been] collecting from unlocked vehicles in the Adelaide Street area.

The 34-year-old Barrie male was charged with prowl by night and theft under $5,000. 

Residents in the area are asked to check their vehicles. 

If your vehicle was entered overnight with items missing please contact PC E Sinclair of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025 ext 2531 or the Property Unit at 705-725-7025 ext 2979 to have recovered property returned.

Barrie Police would like to remind residents of Barrie to please remember to lock vehicles overnight and take valuables inside at night.
