NEWS RELEASE
MAY COURT CLUB OF BARRIE
*************************
The members of the May Court Club of Barrie gave $2,535 in gift cards to the Barrie Food Bank to purchase toilet paper in bulk.

The Barrie Food Bank had 7,456 client visits in November 2024, which is double from last year.

On a recent tour of the facility, it was learned that a family of five could only choose up to two rolls of toilet paper on a visit every 28 days and that was only if it was in stock.

With unprecedented needs, the Barrie Food Bank — and 40 per cent of food banks across Canada — have had to cut back quantities issued to clients due to increased costs.

Generous community donations in food, non-perishables and funds ensure that the purchasing and logistics of the Barrie Food Bank can continue in a very well-thought-out manner. Please support them with direct donations, through a food drive or at your local grocery store.
