Power knocked out for thousands of Innisfil customers today

InnPower says unplanned outage affected around 7,500 customers in the southern portion of the municipality

The hydro stopped flowing to thousands of Innisfil properties for a brief period Friday afternoon.

InnPower reported an unplanned outage that occurred May 3 around 2:30 p.m., affected about 7,497 customers in the southern portion of the municipality.

According to InnPower's outage map, animals were to blame.

"We are still working with Hydro One to specifically identify the interruption to supply," InnPower customer relations manager Brenna Martin told Village Media

Power was restored about 30 minutes after it went out.
