The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) Auxiliary celebrates another big win with their community 50/50 draw. David MacKenzie of Toronto was excited to accept his cheque of over $271,000.

“I lived in the region before moving to Toronto and have supported the RVH Auxiliary 50/50 for quite a while. I very much support the great cause of helping RVH with their equipment needs,” says MacKenzie.

With each community draw, the RVH Auxiliary continues to raise funds to support their $5-million pledge to RVH’s Keep Life Wild Campaign.

With their first half of the pledge to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) successfully fulfilled, the Auxiliary maintains to assist with RVH’s plan to enhance health-care services offered in our growing region, including the funding for a third MRI.

The next grand prize draw takes place on Oct 31. An additional $31,000 will be given away in three early bird draws throughout the month.

Tickets can be purchased until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 30, online at rvhauxiliary5050.com or in person at the lotto booth in RVH’s food court (Level 1) Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and at Mayes-Martin Ltd., on Vespra Street in Barrie, Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
