Teachers at Barrie North Collegiate and high schools across Simcoe County have reached a tentative agreement with the Simcoe County District School Board.

The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB), and secondary school teachers have reached a tentative bargaining agreement, ending a work to rule job action that started Nov. 12, and was to escalate January 21.

Terms of the agreement were not revealed as the Board, and approximately 1,100 teachers represented by District 17 Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, have to vote on the package.

With this deal, there are now three union groups still without a contract.

They include:

ETFO - designated early childhood educators;

OSSTF - continuing education instructors; and

OPSEU - educational assistants and secretarial support staff)
