INNISFIL — On Saturday, October 22, 2016, around 8:45 p.m., an off duty York Regional Police officer called 9-1-1 to report a possibly impaired driver.

A South Simcoe Police constable intercepted the suspect vehicle north of Stroud and pulled it over.

The female driver of the car had the odour of alcohol on her breath and admitted to drinking earlier.

A roadside screening device test was conducted, resulting in a FAIL.

After some more testing at the station, a 47-year-old Barrie woman has had her driver's licence suspended for 90 days and her car impounded.

She will be in court in November to answer to a charge of Drive Over 80 mgs.
