City police are investigating after emergency crews were called to Innisdale Secondary School in south-end Barrie this morning.
The Little Avenue high school was placed in a hold-and-secure around 10 a.m., but it was lifted about an hour later.
BarrieToday has confirmed that a noxious substance had been released at the school.
A portion of the school will remain closed, according to the Simcoe County District School Board. Students and staff are resuming their lunch period.
