Update: With all 67 polls reporting as of midnight, Progressive Conservative incumbent Doug Downey has defeated Liberal contender Jeff Lehman by 609 votes, according to Elections Ontario. Downey had 16,114 votes (42.45 per cent) to Lehman's 15,505 (40.85 per cent).

The Canadian Press has declared Progressive Conservative incumbent Doug Downey the winner in a very tightly contested race in Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte (BSOM).
With 65 of 67 polls reporting at 11:07 p.m., Elections Ontario showed Downey's lead over Liberal candidate Jeff Lehman was 582 votes.
Downey had 15,950 votes (42.4 per cent) to Lehman's 15,368 (40.85 per cent).
The NDP's Beverley Patchell was in third place with 2,960 votes (7.87 per cent).
