Five Points to Serve You

1. Safety and security downtown- supporting all businesses, east and west of Dunlop Street.

2. Engaging all residents

3. Taxes - Identifying (In)efficiencies/accountability

4. Housing

5. Bringing an Independent Living Centre to Barrie – http://www.ilcanada.ca/

I am an innovator, producer for change, a visionary and very resourceful. I have an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life and connected to many businesses, community organizations and individuals.

I don’t belong to any political party and will remain non-partisan to rightfully serve you. Serving people is all I know and building a healthy community is what I am passionate about. I excel at creating and supporting new initiatives.

I have eight years experience working in the core of downtown. My roles at the David Busby Street Centre and the Community Wholeness Centre have given me a clear understanding and most importantly, lived experience with the many issues and crisis we are facing today in our downtown, impacting not only Ward 2, but our city as a whole.

I obtained an honours diploma from Georgian College in business accounting, a post-graduate honours diploma in fundraising and resource development. I have completed the Association of Municipalities Ontario, Online Course – “So You Want to Run for Council?” and attended a workshop entitled “Politics for Women."

My key work experience includes, Georgian College, Shaw TV, Rogers Television and the David Busby Street Centre.

Being recognized with several awards, specifically in 2017 when I received the John Graves Simcoe Medal of Excellence for Outstanding Community Contribution and the Provincial Leading Girls Leading Women award, humbly endorses my passion to serve my community.

I'm concerned that 66% of Ward 2 citizens who did not exercise their right to vote in the last municipal election and challenge them to vote Councillor Gallo for change and hope my voice inspires them to engage, build my trust and exercise their right to vote.
