Bradford resident Cheri Marques is inviting the town to take part in a drive-by parade to honour staff at Bradford Valley Care Community long-term care home.

"The staff at Bradford Valley have been working so hard day and night to care for the residents," she said. "I thought this would be a great way for the community to let them know we are supporting them and know how hard they are working."

The facility has been dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak since April 4, where so far four residents have died and 23 are self-isolating at the facility.

She suggested parade participants hang balloons and signs on their cars to express their gratitude for the workers.

Anyone looking to join in the ride are asked to line up in their vehicles at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradford Community Centre at 125 Simcoe Rd. The vehicles will then drive south along Simcoe Road, and head west along 6th Line to the facility.
