Kris Hughston is the independent licensed owner/broker of Hughston Insurance Solutions since 2008. She educates on the importance of living insurance products, group benefits, estate planning and investment advising. Kris is a Certified Executor Advisor and holds her Elder Planning Counsellor designation to work with and support seniors and their families including her own.
Kris is a founding partner of Project Lifesaver Simcoe, tracking devices the police use to help find vulnerable citizens that are prone to wandering and going missing. PLS is currently running in Barrie, Innisfil and Bradford since 2018.
Kris has done extensive fundraising for the Barrie Food Bank with 12 Ladies in a Tent 2012-2014, Tampon Tuesday's and The Mac & Cheese Luncheon which have raised almost $750,000 inclusively.
She spent from 2012-2020 on the Board of Directors for the Barrie Chamber of Commerce, and was President from 2016-17.
Kris has won The Legends in Legacy Award 2018 from Senior Wish, The Barrie Chamber of Commerce President’s Award 2015, and The Barrie Examiner’s Heart and Soul Award 2012 for her community involvement. Most recently named your favourite Insurance Broker with Barrie Today!
