A special weather statement is in effect regarding the risk of ice pellets and freezing rain today. Full statement below. 

The forecast is calling for mainly cloudy skies today.  Snow at times mixed with ice pellets beginning this morning. Snow and ice pellet amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind becoming east 20 km/h this morning then becoming northwest 20 gusting to 40 this afternoon. High minus 4.

Flurries tonight.  Local amount 2 cm. Wind gusting to 40 km/h becoming light this evening. Low minus 12.

Mainly cloudy tomorrow with a 60 percent chance of flurries. Wind gusting to 40 km/h in the morning. High minus 7

  • Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
  • Midland - Coldwater - Orr Lake
  • Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago

Snow today with a risk of ice pellets and freezing rain.

Snow will develop across a swath of Southern Ontario this morning and persist for much of the day. General snowfall accumulations of near 10 cm are likely, although some areas may approach 15 cm.

There is also a risk of ice pellets and freezing rain in some regions.

The precipitation will end from west to east late this afternoon or evening.
