'Since the Sunnidale Road project is bound to take longer than planned ... adding another week or two would never be noticed,' says letter writer

In this file photo, Highway 400 traffic passes under the new Anne Street bridge in Barrie. Work has progressed to the point where the new span is expected to open in early June.

BarrieToday welcomes letters to the editor at [email protected]. Please include your full name, daytime phone number and address (for verification of authorship, not publication). The following letter is in response to 'Anne St. bridge re-opening just weeks away: MTO,' published May 23.

One would hope the tall foreheads who organize such matters would understand that the Sunnidale Road bridge should not be closed until after the Anne Street bridge has been opened for traffic.

After all, the Dunlop Street bridge is usually busy and traffic is often congested on Bayfield Street and its bridge.

If what the BarrieToday article says is true, it would only be a matter of waiting an extra week or two.

Since the Sunnidale Road project is bound to take longer than planned – these things always seem to – adding another week or two would never be noticed.
