Canadian pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne will be headlining this summer's All Your Friends Festival at Burl's Creek in Oro-Medonte.

It’s been more than 20 years since Avril Lavigne released her chart-topping debut single Complicated, and fans will be excited to learn Canada’s pop-punk princess is set to hit the main stage in Oro-Medonte this summer.

Lavigne was announced today as the first headliner for the 2025 All Your Friends Fest, a two-day concert set to hit Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, just north of Barrie, on June 28 and 29.

In addition to the eight-time Grammy winner and Napanee native — who is also known for her hit songs Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend and I’m With You — the festival will include Montreal pop-rockers and Juno winners Simple Plan.

Lavigne and Simple Plan are scheduled to perform on the main stage on the Sunday night, according to festival officials.

While the rest of the musical lineup for the 2025 festival has yet to be announced, last year’s lineup included Fall Out Boy, Billy Talent, Jimmy Eat World, and The All-American Rejects.

The festival is part of Lavigne’s recently extended sold-out Greatest Hits Tour, which kicks off May 18 in Moncton, N.B., with additional stops across the U.S. and Canada, including Oro Medonte.

“I can’t wait to play All Your Friends Fest at Burl’s Creek. It’s going to be a blast playing with so many of my friends at a festival so close to home and I hope to see you all there,” Lavigne said in a news release.

This will be the second year the festival will take place at Burl’s Creek, which is described as Canada’s largest outdoor event venue with a capacity for more than 100,000 people and 45,000 campers over nearly 600 acres.

With the event seeing more than 10,000 concert-goers in its first day last summer, with organizers saying the two-day festival promises an “unforgettable weekend of music, perfectly timed to kick off Canada Day celebrations.”

“We are beyond excited to have All Your Friends Fest return to Burl’s Creek and bring fans together for an incredible Canada Day weekend of music and celebration,” said Eva Dunford, co-founder of Republic Live, the company hosting the festival. “We are thrilled to have Canadian icon and global pop-punk superstar Avril Lavigne headline our Sunday night, kicking off the first weekend of summer in unforgettable style.

"With amazing performances, great vibes and memories to last a lifetime, this edition of All Your Friends Fest promises to be one for the books.”

Single-day admission tickets start at $149.99 (plus taxes and fees), while full weekend passes start at $249.99 (plus taxes and fees) and will be available for purchase as of 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Republic Live is bringing its renowned festival experience to All Your Friends Fest by offering camping opportunities similar to its sister festival, Boots and Hearts, noted the press release. Concert-goers will be able to enhance their weekend with tent and RV camping packages available for purchase.
