NEWS RELEASE
ED DANKO

Barrie author Ed Danko is at it again.
The 'jack of all genres' has flexed his imagination once again with the release of his first science-fiction novel, The Stone Hunter. Book one is the first in a sci-fi trilogy with book two coming out the end of December and book three releasing at the end of February.
Danko released his suspense thriller, You Made Me Kill You, and the sequel after the pandemic. The Stone Hunter comes on the heels of his first children's picture book, Frog Soup Surprise, which was released this spring.
"I was excited at the prospect and the challenge of writing my first trilogy," Danko said. "I got the idea of an energy stone landing on Earth, which affected the time continuum and caused anomalies in history."
Danko's main character, Adam Page, is a retired stone collector who finds the palm-sized energy stone washed up on the beach. Little does he know that his interest in stone collection is connected to a long line of stone hunters from the past.
An energy entity named Zen, who is also a stone hunter, is dispatched from the realm of the Energy Masters to collect the wayward stone. Zen soon discovers that Adam is in possession of the stone. They form an unlikely friendship as they go back in time to correct the anomalies to keep history from changing and altering the future which would have disastrous consequences.
Discovery of additional energy stones opens up other worlds and alternate dimensions far beyond Adam's wildest imagination. He soon finds out what it takes to have the courage and resolve of a Stone Hunter.
Ed's second children's book, Tazi Learns A Lesson, is waiting in the wings to be released soon. He's a prolific writer with a supernatural thriller completed and ready to launch while working on his next science fiction series.
"Once your imagination gets rolling, you challenge yourself into looking into different genres," Danko said in his recent interview with Ontario Morning.
The episode can be replayed on CBC Radio One.
You can meet Ed Danko and his collection of stories at the Barrie Public Library annual Author's Marketplace, Painswick branch, on Saturday, Dec. 7.
