Not long after dropping a cover of Radiohead’s Creep, Barrie’s Brigitte Eve & The Troublemaker are set to release a new original single.

The cover of the iconic 1990s Radiohead hit was released Dec. 31. It was recorded at The Tragically Hip’s Bathouse Recording Studio and “showcases the band’s raw, emotional edge, blending Brigitte Eve’s soulful vocals with haunting instrumentation,” according to a news release.

“Radiohead and acoustic music fans will be captivated by this fresh yet deeply reverent take on the classic.”

On Jan. 13, the band will release Winter Jacket. Written by Brigitte Eve and her drummer, Nate Longo, the upcoming original single “reflects the band’s signature blend of lyrical depth and innovative sound, promising to resonate with listeners as a standout track in their growing catalogue.”

“This is an incredible time for us,” said Brigitte Eve. “Recording Creep at such an iconic studio was surreal, and we’re so excited to share our original music and play live for the first time as a duo.”

The band will perform Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. at Turtle Jack’s at 10 Vogell Rd. in Richmond Hill.
