On June 12 at The Rec Room Barrie, grab your friends and be ready to bash when Feura tears up the stage.
With special guest performances by local Sydney Riley and Toronto musicians Liam Benayon and Kicksie, the night is going to be jam-packed with upbeat indie pop/pop anthems and alternative hits.
After graduating from Eastview Secondary School in 2020, Feura moved to Toronto to pursue theatre and political studies at the University of Toronto. Isolation from the pandemic gave Feura the time and opportunity to develop their craft. They emerged as a musician and are now an entertainer in the city.
From regularly performing and attending local drag bars and established live music venues, Feura learned the ins and outs of what makes for a good show.
“I want to bring back a piece of queer city nightlife to Barrie with this show. I love my home town, and hope I can add to their growing arts and culture scene,” Feura said.
The night will feature a lineup of all LGBTQ+-identifying performers.
”My ultimate goal as an artist, even spanning back to when I was in theatre, has been to advocate for political issues I care about. So, for me, this show is more than just an opportunity to entertain,” Feura said.
By bringing this show to Barrie, they are bringing representation and a safe space for young queer people to be unapologetically themselves.
