Friday Harbour Resort is pleased to announce their upcoming Signature Summer Series lineup of events for 2020.
Friday Harbour will host four major summer events in 2020, starting with Victoria Day Weekend and on each of the summer long weekends. Each weekend will feature live entertainment, refreshments served up on the Pier, exciting activities across the Resort, vendor markets on the Boardwalk, family movie nights, musical light shows and magical fireworks displays. These celebrations are open to all.
Launch into summer with our first long weekend celebration of summer 2020 with the Start ‘Em Up Long Weekend Launch from May 16 to 18! Featuring Harley Davidson and vintage motorcycles on the Boardwalk, live music all weekend long, food and fun for the whole family, and a spectacular fireworks display, summer 2020 is starting in style.
Celebrate Canada’s birthday country-style during the True North Festival from June 27 to 28, with a final wrap on July 1. With line dancing, axe throwing, a Caesar bar, fireworks and some of Canada’s biggest up and coming country music talent, this celebration of all things Canadian will have you standing guard for the true north, strong and free.
During the Civic Holiday weekend, Friday Harbour will be celebrating with a Margaritaville Party on the Pier from August 1 to 3. Dance along with live music, a beach party, fireworks and entertainment that will transport you to the tropics!
Harbourfest: Viva L’Italia returns on Labour Day weekend from Sept. 5-8. Top-of-the-line luxury supercars will line the Boardwalk along with Italian-inspired food, games, and vendors.
For a delicious meal, Guests can make a reservation at the Beach Club which features spectacular views over Lake Simcoe or try one of the fabulous restaurants on the Resort including Fishbone Kitchen + Wine Bar, whose chef was recently crowned Barrie’s Top Chef, and Avenue Cibi e Vini which is known for its gourmet take on Italian favourites.
In addition to these signature events, the Pier Bar will feature live music every weekend all summer long.
