Popular Carrot Fest returning to Bradford in mid-August

Event celebrates the importance of the Holland Marsh soils with special focus on carrots and their role in local economy

Carrot Fest 2023 will take centre stage in Bradford the weekend of Aug. 18-19.

The country's greatest carrot-themed street festival returns to Bradford West Gwillimbury next month.

Established more than 20 years ago, Carrot Fest has been ranked in the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario for over a decade. The event celebrates the importance of the Holland Marsh soils, with a special focus on carrots and the role they play in our local economy.

In Carrot Fest spirit, the Holland Marsh Growers’ Association will be handing out free bags of locally grown carrots during the festival.

Parking will be limited in the downtown area but free parking is available at nearby municipal lots. BWG Transit will also be offering free bus service (on all routes) on Saturday, Aug. 19 to help residents get to and from the festival.

Friday, Aug. 18

  • 4-9 p.m.: Kids Zone
  • 6-10 p.m.: Back Alley Cruisers 
  • 4-10 p.m.: Vendor Market

Friday’s lineup of entertainment will also include:

  • Echos Acoustic, Honey Jack, Monkey Wrench, and Skip Tracer on the Experience Simcoe Stage
  • Canadian Musicians Cooperative Showcase on the TD Stage
  • Rockabilly Joe and Mike Wood at the Great Gulf Busker Pitch

Saturday, Aug. 19

  • 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Kids Zone 
  • 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.: Vendor Market 

Saturday’s lineup of entertainment will also include:

  • Rockabilly Joe, Jesse Karawat, Echos Band, Honey Jack, Queen Carolyn T and Hip Check on the Experience Simcoe Stage
  • Nemesis Hip Hop Fusion, Bella Magic, Elite Dance Corps, Marky Monday, Sonshine & Broccoli and the Flaming Carrot Finale on the TD Stage
  • Hoop You and Canada Rocks Aerial Show at the Great Gulf Busker Pitch Aqua Dogs and PWA Wrestling at the Bradford & District Memorial Centre
