Water guns, dunk tank bring Barrie neighbours together

'Apparently, (the kids) are Triple-A baseball players. Not one of them missed,' says Ardagh Bluffs Community Super Soaker event organizer after repeated dunkings

Water guns, dunk tanks and sunshine were the order of the day at Summerset Park in the city’s west end on Saturday.

Neighbours gathered together for the Ardagh Bluffs Community Super Soaker event on Aug. 23.

The day featured a water gun battle, kids activities, vendors and charity fundraising, not to mention the chance for people to meet their neighbours, and for kids to make new friends.

The event was hosted by the Good Neighbour Podcast, with Jeff Gartner and Sean Preston, who both reside in the community.

“The dunk tank is colder than I thought,” Gartner told BarrieToday in between dunkings. “Apparently, (the kids) are Triple-A baseball players. Not one of them missed.”
