Update (11:05 a.m.): Alectra reported about 2,300 customers in the area of Yonge Street and Mapleview Drive East were without power.
The Painswick was affecting about 800 customers, while the Allandale area outage had been reduced to a little under 500 customers.

ORIGINAL STORY
Alectra Utilities is working to restore power in parts of south-end Barrie.
There have also been reports of electricity flicking around 10 a.m. in other parts of the city.
As of 10:30 a.m., Monday, close to 800 customers were without power in Barrie's Painswick area near Yonge Street and Big Bay Point Road.
Another almost 800 were also affected in the Allandale neighbourhood.
Some of the affected streets include parts of Yonge Street, Autumn Lane, Dixon Court, Warnica Road, Brushwood Crescent, Kell Place, Jewel House Lane, Prince William Way, Maple Crown Terrace, Succession Terrace, Blue Forest Crescent, South Park Lane, Fairlane Avenue, Rebecca Court, Country Lane, Courtney Crescent, and Booth Lane.
Other affected areas include Huronia Road, Loon Avenue, Hooper Road and Saunders Road.
There is also an outage on Grove Street East.
