All lanes have reopened on Highway 400 after being closed for more than six hours following a massive pileup south of Barrie this morning.
Approximately 25 vehicles, including tractor-trailers, trucks, cars and even a limousine, were involved in the multi-vehicle collision, which happened around 11 a.m. in the southbound lanes between Mapleview Drive and Innisfil Beach Road.
The northbound lanes were also closed while emergency crews attended to the scene.
After road repairs and plowing were completed, the highway reopened in both directions around 5 p.m.
Twelve people were taken to hospital with injuries that weren't considered serious.
