Barrie Police are expected to update the investigation this morning into a double homicide in the city's Allandale area.

The bodies of a 51-year-old man and his 19-year-old son with 'obvious signs of trauma' were found in a William Street home around 3:20 a.m. Thursday.

Two 911 calls from inside the duplex brought officers to the scene.

Within hours of making the discovery, detectives arrested a 24-year-old man at nearby home on Marcus Street where blood smears were visible on the front door.

Police said the suspect was being interviewed and no charges had been laid as of late yesterday afternoon.

The names of the victims have not yet been released as police were still in the process of notifying relatives.
