Hundreds of Barrie residents flocked to city hall and the East Bayfield Community Centre on July 20, 2017 to get a glimpse of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Trudeau took time to shake hands, hold babies, sign autographs and pose for selfies with star-struck residents.
"It's so fun! Most exciting thing to happen in Barrie in a long time," said Donna Lorenz, who was too shy to ask for a selfie.
The stop at the recreation centre was geared to promoting the one-year anniversary of the government's Canada Child Benefit.
The PM first had a sit-down meeting with Mayor Jeff Lehman in the mayor's office where they discussed affordable housing, Barrie's red-hot housing market and eco-friendly infrastructure.
