Blue Mountain Resort announced it will target Dec. 7 for opening day for its skiing and snowboarding season.
In a news release issued this morning, the resort noted the opening will be staggered and focused around at least one highspeed chairlift.
"We will plan for the Silver Bullet and beginner terrain open at minimum,” said Graeme Dugale, vice-president of mountain operations, in the news release. “We are ready and excited to have as many slopes open as early as possible thanks in large part to the hard work of our mountain operations teams and our snowmaking upgrades.”
Snowmaking upgrades have been ongoing and continued this spring with $1.2 million invested in infrastructure and technology to make the operation more efficient for the 2023/34 ski season.
