Your eyes do not deceive you. It is Christmastime at Sunnidale Park!
Snow, garland and a winter wonderland have taken over part of the Barrie park as Christmas on 5th Productions Inc. has been issued a permit to film at Sunnidale Park on Thursday.
The film crew has been on site since 6:30 a.m. and is expected to wrap up at 9:30 p.m.
They are filming scenes for a made-for-TV Christmas movie.
City of Barrie spokesperson Scott LaMantia told BarrieToday the production has permission from the municipality and is following the rules under the provincial stay-at-home order.
“They have met all requirements of the permit process and they have a COVID-19 safety plan in place that meets provincial requirements for the film industry and has been vetted with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit,” he said.
