Two fire departments have now responded to a fire at a home on Waterview Road in Wasaga Beach, which has now spread to a neighbouring house.
The fire started at a house in the Blue Water subdivision. The heat from the fire has melted the siding on the condo clubhouse and a neighbouring house has also caught fire.
The first house has burned to the ground and flames continue to flare up while fire crews focus efforts on the second house which is now fully engulfed.
One person was inside the house, but was able to evacuate safely.
Collingwood Fire Department was called to assist Wasaga Beach Fire Department at the structure fire, which is producing billowing black smoke in the area.
