A section of Anne Street near the bridge over Highway 400 in Barrie will be closed overnight tonight to repair underground sewer infrastructure.
Yorkton Contracting, which is working for the City of Barrie, requires an emergency full road closure between Donald Street/Wellington Street West and Henry Street.
The work is tentatively scheduled to take place from Tuesday night (Oct. 10) at 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning (Oct. 11).
The city says residents and emergency services will have access within the closure, but can’t travel through.
Detour routes in effect are:
Anne Street North – Dunlop Street West – Eccles Street North – Wellington Street West / Donald Street – Anne Street North
Anne Street North – Dunlop Street West – Cedar Point Drive – Edgehill Drive – Anne Street North.
