The city says it needs an emergency closure on Eccles Street in downtown Barrie today near Barrie Fire headquarters.
The city water department and its sub-contractors need a full road closure on Eccles Street South between Perry Street and Dunlop Street West until about 2 p.m., Dec. 5, to repair a water service.
The city says access for residents and businesses within the closure will be maintained and emergency services will have access to respond within the closure, but not to travel through it.
The roadway is closed to buses.
Detour route in effect:
Eccles Street North – Dunlop Street West – Bradford Street – Vespra Street – Innisfil Street
Eccles Street North – Dunlop Street West – Anne Street South – Vespra Street – Innisfil Street.
