If you use Anne Street near the bridge over Highway 400 in Barrie, you can expect traffic delays for a few weeks.
Starting on Thursday, Sept. 28, the city says there will be intermittent lane closures, restrictions and shifts on Anne Street North from Dunlop Street West to Donald Street (which turns into Wellington Street West).
The traffic measures are expected to be in place until Friday, Oct. 13 and are needed for road resurfacing in the area.
Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP) and its sub-contractors, working in conjunction with the City of Barrie, require these lane modifications daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. They are also subject to weather conditions.
