Quinn Rozario attended his very first karate competition in London recently (April 14). His first competition wasn’t just a regular event, it was the WKC provincial trials in London.

The 40-year-old had been training hard the past few months working one-on-one with world karate champion and RMA Karate Centre’s owner Tressa Young.

The dedication to Rozario’s training paid off when he attended the provincial trials performing his kata and weapons forms resulting in his winning gold and silver respectively.

The top eight from the provincial trials qualify to attend the Canadian national trials in Ottawa next month. Only the top four from each division will represent Canada in Dublin, Ireland this fall.

Continuing to train privately with his instructor, Rozario a brown belt at RMA, is excited to meet his fellow competitors from across Canada and to give everything he has for his chance to be part of team Canada.
