Tonight snow heavy at times, changing to a few flurries overnight, local blowing snow, about 25 cm expected, windy, low -9.
Flurries Wednesday, windy, temp steady near -9.
Thursday a mix of sun and cloud, chance of flurries and the high -6.
Here are the details of the winter storm warning in effect for:
- Barrie - Collingwood - Hillsdale
- Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
Snow, heavy at times, is expected .
The snow will begin later this morning and intensify into the evening with the heaviest amounts of snow forecast for tonight.
Total snowfall amounts near 25 cm are likely by Wednesday morning.
Strong northeasterly winds will also produce blowing snow especially in exposed areas due to gusts of 50 to 70 kilometres per hour.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
