Update (Nov. 29, 9:10 a.m.): "Due to adverse weather conditions," the City of Barrie says the work scheduled for Wednesday on Bernick Drive near Duckworth Street has been pushed back to Thursday, Nov. 30. It is expected to take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., subject to weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the work that had been scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 28 on Rose Street at Duckworth has been postponed until Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The city says a trio of Barrie streets will be affected by construction this week, beginning Tuesday.
The impacted areas include sections of Johnson Street, Rose Street and Bernick Drive.
FRAM Building Group and its sub-contractors require a partial lane closure, with traffic control personnel on-site, along Johnson Street between Indian Arrow Road and Campfire Court.
This work will tentatively take place on Tuesday, Nov. 28 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and is construction associated to a development project at 37 Johnson St. The roadway will be open to local traffic and emergency vehicles.
Also on Tuesday, Mar-King Construction and its sub-contractors, working on behalf of the city, will need a full road closure on Rose Street at Duckworth Street. The closure is expected to extend approximately 50 metres west of Duckworth Street. Duckworth's northbound and southbound lanes will remain open.
The Rose Street work is scheduled to take place on Nov. 28 between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Detour route in effect: Rose Street – Blue Mound Drive – Grove Street East – Duckworth Street – Bernick Drive.
Mar-King Construction will also be implementing a full road closure of Bernick Drive at Duckworth Street on Wednesday. The closure is expected to extend about 50 metres east of Duckworth Street. Duckworth's northbound and southbound lanes will remain open.

The Rose Street and Bernick Drive closures are associated with the city's Duckworth Street Improvements Project.
Access for residents within the closure is to be maintained. Emergency services will have access to respond within the closure, but not to travel through it. The roadway will be closed to buses.
