HGTV star visits Innisfil farm (10 photos)

Love It or List It Co-Host David Visentin swung by Innisfil for some family time

David Visentin, co-host of the popular HGTV show Love It Or List It, recently swung through Innisfil for a family visit with sister Bonnie and their parents up to the Ayres Country Livin' family farm.

The Visentin family enjoyed a tour of the farm earlier this month, walking through the intricately designed corn maze, petting the dwarf bunnies, feeding the cows, pigs, and goats, and enjoying warm hot chocolate and apple cider.

Bonnie says she was drawn to the farm after hearing about it in a recent feature story, which was published on BarrieToday.

“The farm really lives up to its name — Country Livin’," Bonnie says.

The farm is owned by Brian and Lisa Ayres, who run it alongside their children Courtney, Chad and Cameron.

Brian's grandparents used to crop on the property and dairy farmed at another property down the road. When they passed away, it was inherited by Brian's uncle who continued the operations until he passed away in 2011. The property sat vacant for seven years before Brian and Lisa decided to purchase it in 2016 and move their family from Barrie to Innisfil to build their dream home and barn.

The Visentins know what it means to work with family which is another reason they felt so inclined to visit the farm.

One of David and Bonnie's fondest memories is watching their father Nick Visentin designing a logo in 1978 for his first brokerage, which then evolved into Country Living Realty, the company that David and his brothers would all work with for over 25 years.

While their father now enjoys his well-earned retirement, the siblings continue to work together as the Visentin Real Estate Team specializing in both City & Country Living, including land, farms, and cottage properties.

"I noticed some similarities between my family and the Visentins," says Courtney.

Ayres Country Livin' is located at 2505 9th Line, Innisfil. They are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Halloween. There is no admission fee.
