Ontario is marking International Women’s Day by recognizing the leadership of women and girls across the Province in March. March 8 is recognized as the global day that celebrates women’s achievements while calling for greater gender equality. Every Ontarian has a role to play as we work toward that goal.
Today March 11th, MPP Ann Hoggarth recognized the women and girls who are leading change in Barrie. The Leading Women/Leading Girls Building Communities Recognition program celebrates women and girls whose volunteer work has improved the lives of others in their community. Since 2006, Ontario has recognized nearly 1000 leading women and girls.
