Royals win seventh straight 

KITCHENER – The Guelph Royals won their seventh straight game, beating the Kitchener Panthers 8-6 Friday night at Jack Couch Park. 

Justin Interisano went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Angel Villalona had three hits, including two doubles, three RBI and a run, Brendan Keys drove in two, Jon Waltenbury had an RBI and a run, while Josh Garton and Sean Reilly each scored twice. 

Edwin Javier (6-6) went six innings for the win, allowing four runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts. 

For Kitchener, Brian Burton went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and two runs. Yorbis Borroto hit his first home run and scored twice, Mike Gordner singled, doubled and had an RBI and a run, and Keegan Marsden drove in the other run. 

Adrian Yuen (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs on four hits with five walks and a strikeout. 

Guelph improved to 16-19 and moved into fourth place, and Kitchener dropped to 24-12 and will finish second heading into playoffs. 

Peralta strikes out 11 in Majors' win

BRANTFORD – Starlin Peralta struck out 11 over seven scoreless innings to lead the London Majors to an 8-0 win over the Brantford Red Sox Friday night at Arnold Anderson Stadium.

Peralta (8-2) scattered three hits and walked two. 

RJ Fuhr had two hits, three runs and an RBI in the win, Cleveland Brownlee and Byron Reichstein each had two hits and two RBI, Michael Ambrose went 3-for-5 and drove in two, Chris McQueen singled five times and scored twice, and Carlos Arteaga had two hits. 

For Brantford, Blake Kauer, Ricky Murray and Dan Jagdeo had hits. 

Jose Bautista (1-3) took the loss, giving up two runs on seven hits with three walks and seven strikeouts over five innings. 

London (20-16) will take the third seed in playoffs, and Brantford (13-21) is seventh.
