Special guests, including police, politicians, entertainers and hospital officials joined McDonald's franchises in Simcoe County to celebrate McHappy Day.
The volunteers greeted guests, cleaned tables and in some instances got behind the counter to sling burgers and help raise money.
Since it began in 1977, McHappy Day has raised nearly $56 million for Canadian children.
Locally, McDonald’s restaurants partnered with Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) to raise funds for Child and Youth Mental Health Services at RVH and Ronald McDonald House Toronto on McHappy Day®.
