TAY TOWNSHIP – On Jan. 25, 2017 at approximately 2:03 a.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a stolen snowmobile from a residence on Armstrong Street in Port McNicoll, Tay Township, ON.
As a result of further investigation, officers located the stolen snowmobile a short time later at a residence on Line Six in Oro-Medonte Township, ON. Michael Gignac (age 25) of Tay Township has been charged with:
- Possession of property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Mar. 30, 2017 in Midland, ON.
