The Barrie Chamber of Commerce has announced the annual Mayor’s Update Luncheon is scheduled to take place at the end of the month.
The local chamber, in partnership with the City of Barrie and Invest Barrie, announced the return of the luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 30. It will take place at Liberty North, located at 100 Caplan Ave., in the city’s south end.
Mayor Alex Nuttall will be providing an update to chamber officials and members of the area business community on the city's “continued progress” and next steps for building on Barrie's community assets.
Organizers say the event is an opportunity to learn about Barrie's economy, both now and in the future, including the role of local businesses. A question-and-answer session will also take place.
Tickets for the event are $75 per person for chamber members, and $100 for non-members.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and lunch starting at noon.
