Back in August, three good Samaratins spent days rescuing a stray cat they had found eating stale French fries out of a paper bag in the McDonald's parking lot in Bradford.

After bringing him to the vet, it was determined that 'Donnie' (named after the food chain parking lot he was found in) was feral, with few rotted teeth and a blind spot in one eye and respiratory infection.

Together, with the support of the community, the women were able to raise money and help get the cat the surgeries and treatments necessary for it to survive.

Now, after months of rehabilitation, socialization and foster care, Donnie is ready to settle into his forever home.

He is available for adoption through Feline Fix Barrie.

Donnie is a sweet, snuggly boy who loves to play.

He loves to chase toys and is good with other cats and would be best suited in a more quiet home.

Anyone looking to adopt should know that Donnie is FIV positive, meaning he has a compromised immune system and is prone to catching more infections which can take a longer time to heal.

He has been neutered, microchipped and is up to date on all his shots.

If interested in adopting Donnie, contact Feline Fix Barrie or visit him at the Pet Valu in Barrie at 617 Cundles Rd. E.
