MIDLAND - Members from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the National Peace Officer Memorial in Ottawa and locally on Sept. 29, 2019.
Staff Sgt. Natalie Majer participated in the three-day run from Toronto to Ottawa and joined Sgt. Robert Stinson who participated as a member of the OPP Motorcycle Unit in the parade on Parliament Hill.
Locally, Provincial Const. David Hobson joined a memorial event hosted by the Beausoleil First Nation (BFN) Health Centre on Christian Island which was attended by over 100 community members, members of the Anishinabek Police Service (APS) and the BFN Police Service Board.
