A London man charged with second-degree murder has been released on $200,000 bail, his lawyer confirms.

25-year old Jason Heffernan is accused in the July 2 death of 29-year old Corby Stott of Wyevale.

Stott was pronounced dead at hospital after being hit by a car following an altercation in the parking lot of the Midland Walmart.

Heffernan was arrested at the scene.

Heffernan's lawyer Sean Robichaud has said his client intends to plead not guilty to the charge.

Robichaud confirmed to BarrieToday.com that Heffernan was released on bail Wednesday.
