Nawab's Indian Cuisine, a celebrated Canadian franchise renowned for its authentic and exquisite South Asian culinary traditions, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Barrie, owned by esteemed restaurateurs Kiran and Vimochana.

The inauguration event will take place on Friday, July 26 at 6 p.m. at 70 Essa Rd.

We are honoured to welcome the honourable mayor as our guest of honour for this special occasion. The event will also be attended by celebrated leaders, councillors, business people and other distinguished guests from our community.

Nawab's Indian Cuisine takes pride in celebrating the regal legacy of the Nizams by bringing their exquisite culinary traditions to Canada. The cultural ties between the Nawabs (Kings of Hyderabad, South India) and the British Crown find a unique resonance in the celebration of the Crown of Canada.

Just as the Nizams were recognized for their sovereignty and cultural contributions, the Crown of Canada symbolizes unity, heritage, and the celebration of diverse cultural influences. The Nizams' legacy, particularly their culinary heritage, offers a rich source of inspiration for contemporary Canadian cuisine and an opportunity for connected community cultural practices.

The grand opening event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tasting menu of Nawab's signature dishes, live music, drinks, and a community gathering. Local press has been invited to cover the event, adding to the excitement and prestige of the evening.

Kiran and Vimochana, the proud owners of Nawab's Indian Cuisine in Barrie, are delighted to showcase their South Asian contribution to the rich and traditional tapestry of Canada.

"We are excited to bring the flavours and traditions of the Nizams to Barrie and look forward to creating a space where the community can come together to celebrate culture and cuisine," said Kiran Attili.
