Police hope to generate new leads in her disappearance

Barrie Police have released a new photo of missing senior Mandy Thompson in the hope of receiving new information on her possible whereabouts.

Thompson, who has dementia, wandered from her Laidlaw Drive home at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 3.

A woman believed to the 72-year-old was captured on security camera video walking on Penetanguishene Rd at 10 a.m. that morning.

Barrie Police and the OPP combined efforts to scour the area outside the city for days on foot, snowshoes, snowmobiles, using drones and the OPP helicopter.

The active search was called off a week ago Friday.
