All five Fire Stations in Barrie will be having Open Houses on Sunday for Fire Prevention Week.

Drop by from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to chat with firefighters, check out the trucks and learn what you need to know about smoke/CO alarms and your fire escape plan.

Light refreshments will also be served and Sparky the fire mascot will visit each location on a special antique fire truck and had out treats.

The Fire stations are located at 155 Dunlop St. W., 15 Bell Farm Rd, 350 Big Bay Point Rd., 250 Ardagh Rd. and 371 King St.

And the deadline has been extended for a chance to win dinner at the fire hall.

Bring in your expired alarms by Oct. 23 to get a ballot.

The theme of this year's Fire Prevention Week is "Don't wait. Check the date!  Replace smoke alarms every ten years."
